Best Collingwood Festivals

Collingwood is such an amazing place to visit, but an even better place to live. There are a number of great shops, restaurants and recreational opportunities. But, besides that, there are so many things to do, including some of the best festivals in the province. Collingwood has festivals all year long and some of them have truly made a name for themselves.

Elvis Festival

Collingwood’s largest festival happens every July and welcomes over 30,000 attendees! Featuring events dedicated to the King himself, the Collingwood Elvis Festival is sure to entertain and delight. With so many live performances, a parade, an Elvis competition, plus so much more, Collingwood definitely becomes the place to be during this festival.

Apple Harvest Festival

Since the Collingwood area is known for its apples, what else is more fitting than an apple harvest festival? Happening every Thanksgiving, there are a number of free activities happening in Collingwood and in its surrounding communities during the Apple Harvest Festival. If the fall colours and the apples aren’t bringing you to the area, then this festival definitely will.

Sidelaunch Days

Another thing Collingwood is well-known for is having a beautiful harbour in Southern Georgian Bay. Sidelaunch Days celebrates Collingwood’s harbour with this annual festival that features a sailing regatta, free canoe and kayak trials, SUP races and demos, plus a kid’s area, lots of delicious food and a dockside bar. This event happens at the beginning of August.

Arts & Music Festival

Celebrate the talent of Collingwood’s local artists and musicians at this event that happens every August in Collingwood. With art displayed throughout, local musicians will delight your ears.

Festival for Canada

Canada Day is a huge event in Collingwood and we celebrate in a fantastic way with our Festival for Canada. This three-day festival features entertainment, live music, on-the-water events and so much more right at the harbourfront. It starts off with a pancake breakfast and goes through the day with a Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony, a gigantic Canada Day birthday cake and of course, no celebration would be complete without an amazing night of fireworks over the water.

Craft Beer & Cider Festival

When you’ve got apples, you’ve also got cider and with its growing popularity, Collingwood is now in its second year of celebrating the Craft Beer and Cider Festival. Happening near the end of August, this festival showcases the culinary talents of our local restaurants, growers and brewers.
